Penthouze in Nibm Road.

Penthouze one of Pune’s favourite nightclubs launched its newest property at Dorabjee Heritage Mall, NIBM.

Located on the 4th floor of the mall, this dynamic space is spread over 7,000 sq feet and is designed to luxuriously accommodate up to 600-700 guests. Divided into three sections, Penthouze NIBM has an indoor section which includes a dance floor and a bar area along with an outdoor open to sky lounge with spectacular sunsets, making it one of the NIBM’s most trendy nightlife spots. The entire experience of this place is reinventing.

Penthouze NIBM is the ideal spot for the people to unwind and party after a long day with a great ambience and breathtaking view.

The food menu offers Middle Eastern cuisine and has a perfect small bite section to go with the ambience and mood. The must try are the fries like the Home Cut Fries, Yam Chips, Zatar Fish, Turkish Sis Touak, Greek Prawns and Spiced Pineapple with Basil Mascarpone.

The cocktails and signature drinks at Penthouze NIBM are specially crafted using the most premium ingredients and trending flavours. The star drinks include The Ultimate Classics like the Rum Cooler which contains white rum, orange and lime juice, sugar syrup, lemonade and triple sec. The Margarita consists of tequila, Cointreau and lime juice. Other cocktails like the Martini Red Belly, Mojito and Indo Cuba Libre are extremely refreshing.

Some of the dishes we did taste were, Yam Chips, a perfect start to a scrumptious meal. Crisp and a healthier option than the potato chips. The chips are served with a sour cream dip and a mango sauce.

Zatar Fish, flavourful fish coated with zatar spice. The fish was moist and extremely fresh . Perfectly cooked fish served with a good blend of flavours.

Chicken Kheema Paratha, a classic dish with a twist. It not only looked amazing but tasted fantastic. Spicy kheema in a paratha served with a dollop of butter.

Prawns and Paneer Gano Wrap, a healthy option for all the people looking for a snack. Perfectly cooked prawns served with an in house dill yogurt. The wrap was my favorite and is definitely a must try.

Zatar Chicken Leg, a meal fit for the kings. Juicy chicken legs served with pita bread and salad. The marination was similar to the zatar fish. The mains have a quite interesting concept where you can pair your food with a choice of sides.

Basboosa, a coconut flavoured cake with pineapple syrup. It tasted good and the ricotta cheese gave it a great contrast and balanced the sweetness of the cake.

Spiced Pineapple, a simple dessert but tasted fantastic. Sliced pineapple Sautéed in sugar along with a special blend of spices. Subtle flavours yet so good.

Penthouze NIBM will be hosting some exciting gigs aiming to make it an enthralling experience for all the guests along with their delectable food, piquant cocktails, and rooftop view.

Johnnie Walker invited us to a first ever, one of a kind experience! Some delicious food was paired with the finest scotch whisky in the world.

The beautiful Evviva Sky Lounge was the venue for this.

The first course was served with Johnnie Walker Black Label which had a rich, complex and an incredibly well balanced flavor which went very well with Murgh Bhatti kebab and Chicken Ceaser Salad . The kebabs were delicious and tender and had a spicy taste . The Chicken Ceaser salad was spot on with succulent chicken pieces and some beautiful and fresh dressed salad.

The powerful, full bodied, smokey flavours of Johnnie Walker Double Black gave a good contrast to the pasta pomodoro sauce with chicken. The pasta was one of my favorites and was enjoyed with a slice of garlic bread.

The dessert was a match made in heaven. The In-house brownies were gooey and the rich chocolate sauce was just like a cherry on top.

The Red Label gave a spicy smoky flavor to brownies.

Overall it was an absolute hit and a great tasting experience.

The Irish have come to Koregaon Park

The Irish have come to Koregaon Park in Nitesh Mall and they have come with a bang we must say. Modern and contemporary designed, inside and outdoor seating, a stylish designed bar gives a very good feel about this place. The food deserves a special mention here because it’s very innovative and well presented, the beverages are a hit too with the Terminator deserving a shout out for those who wish to experience an awesome beverage served in a mammoth jar, it requires a team effort to finish it. Do not miss this. The staff is well trained and they are eager to serve with a smile and are aware of the ingredients and elements of the dishes and beverages. World Cuisine on the Platter

With Bay Leaf Bistro and Magnum Opus , Pimple Saudagar has a new and much awaited destination for World Cuisine .

So along with Bay leaf Bistro  , Magnum Opus , a fine dine restaurant serving both vegetarian and non vegetarian food has been launched . This terrace garden restaurant is beautiful and gives a very warm and chic look.

Magnum Opus will serve both veg and non veg delicacies from world cuisine including North Indian food, Continental , Thai , Chinese , Mexican amongst others. The food will be serve a’la carte as well as in the form of serving buffet in the afternoon and elaborate buffet at night . This promises to be a nice place to spend your evenings in an open air as well as in a dining area to unwind yourself from the hustle & bustle of the crowded Pune city.

Saluté Bistro

Good things come in small packages,  Saluté Bistro is one small,  cozy eatery but packed with fine dining dishes, service and innovations.

Young talent rule the kitchen here and they don’t disappoint.

Reviewing such a place is always a challenge but we are glad that we got a chance to do it on the invite of the owner Parth.

After a warm welcome,  we decided to start with his recommended dishes.

The first dish served was french onion soup.

Jalapeño cheese crackle and Nachos followed,  the right ingredients and taste geared us for the evening ahead.

It was Buharis chicken65 which stole the show,  spicy,  differently made us wanting more.

Mocktails like Virgin Mojito and Thunderbird (fusion of kiwi and cranberry ) quenched the thirst factor.

Mains started with Veg Lasagne and continued with Lemony Pepper Chicken, well-balanced and the Grilled Fish With Lemon Butter Sauce was par excellence.

Prawns Marinara was finished with much gusto not because we were still hungry but the taste did not allow us to ignore it.

Thai green curry with butter rice was slightly disappointing because of the extra ginger present.

Finally with no place left in the stomach we decided to have the home-made Lemon Tart and Caramel Custard. Just bliss.

Hoppipola , Aundh, Pune

Hoppipola , the latest offering to the Pune’s restaurant scene, a trendy and colorful place opened this week in Aundh. Themed around a mix of Mediterranean with a bit of funk , it’s the current hot spot of Pune.

As soon as you enter , there is a positive vibe to the place buzzing with young happy people and equally young happy servers and Managers.

The food and Beverages are priced quite reasonably, and the most important part quite up market , the food is delicious and Fresh and innovative ideas make all the dishes a winner and yes it does not pinch your pocket, Oh what a relief in today’s times.

Lot’s of new ideas like the letter box where a letter can change hands with a new unknown friend in some other restaurant of theirs, like a pen pal, long forgotten in the age of Facebook, i would want to write one and make a friend.

Lot’s of games to be played too and equal fun evening if you visit in a large group or just a couple of you.

Would we go there again? Yes 100 % .
