Flour Works in Kalyani Nagar must be known to most of Pune’s population ,  one of the finest casual restaurant has opened a Bakery In Wanworie. A very needed place in this part of town.

It’s a very well designed and a trendy and warm place to hang around with friends or a date.

The product range is quite vast and its a delight to experience it,  the finest ingredients make it a very niche product at  affordable prices.

We had a chance to gorge ourselves silly at a review hosted by them and It was a sheer pleasure to do it.

We were served Snow Lemonade, Apple Cider which was fantastic.

Vietnamese Iced Coffee,  Orange Mocha Latte and Ginger Jolt was the best.


Salads and Sandwiches like Watermelon and Feta Salad, Grilled Chicken with jalapeno was simply divine.

The Chicken Caesar Salad and Grilled Chicken with Roast Onion was quite a mouthful.

As usual saving the best for the last was the Christmas Plum Cake, honestly I have never had a better one.


Banoffee Pie  and Chocolate Tart


The Salted Caramel just oozed of goodness and Lemon tart were the winners of the night.




Almond Biscotti, Chocolate Chip Cookies, Walnut Shortbread, Hazelnut Praline did not leave any more place in our stomach and we left the place with 2 kg more weight.

Overall if you want to experience sin in eating and don’t mind gaining some weight, you need to go to the Bakery,  Rest assured you won’t be disappointed.

Phoenix In Viman Nagar is the destination in Pune, loads of high-end shops are visited by huge amount of shoppers every single day.

So where do these tired shoppers after buying to their heart’s content eat,  the answer is 212 Cafe, one of the latest and trendiest chic restaurant to be opened here.

Chic decor with an amazing alfresco section gives you a feel of luxury at an affordable price.





Attentive staff,  well-informed and courteous guide you to the best they have to offer.

We were invited for a review last week but we had already visited this place earlier with a very good experience with our friends so we were quite excited for the next round.

After arriving and making ourselves comfortable, we decided to order. The management had shortlisted the best of the dishes for us and it was looking quite good.

The meal started with Mexican Tomato Bean soup and Rising Sun Mocktail.



The Buffalo Chicken wings were juicy, tender and bang on the taste.


Gambas Caliente, pan tossed shrimp, spicy garlic was well prepared and presented. We have a soft corner for Shrimps.



Red snapper with Brocoli  was fresh, succulent and the sauces gave it the right flavor.


Truffle and Roasted Garlic Hummus was perfect.


212 roast chicken was easily one of the best dishes of the evening. Juicy, perfectly marinated chicken melting in your mouth.





Penne sun-dried tomato cream was just right.



Spiced Arugula and Feta salad


Watermelon and goat cheese stack is a must try for everyone.


Triple mud pie cake was the winner of the night.


Carrot cake, cheese cake NY style, Rum and Raisin Cream Roulette


Overall would we go back?  Definitely we would. A heaven for tired shoppers,  couples and family alike.

A must visit if you have not been there yet.

It was a fun event where we got a chance to interact with them, have a feel about the campus and the culture, it was a day event where live cooking and lots of activities were planned around it, we were excited to be  shown around the campus too.

Ask Me Foodies Meet Up did a Foodies Meet Up in Pune on the 28th of March 2015 at Le Meridien, Pune.
It was a casual set up which started with an interaction with the Askme team followed by a fun food tasting session with an elaborate menu from the finest chefs at The Feast Restaurant. Among other activities was a food photography session and a contest with an interesting gratification.
Ask Me has an app where you can ask anything , related to food too so basically it was an event related to food and interaction.

Since the Concept was of “interaction” for this feast so you could ask the Chef about food, ingredients, plating  etc followed by a food photography work shop , some of the things explained to us related to food photography were about the shutter speed , Low light photography.Tools to take to restaurants , also tips like one side foil other side white paper stuck on piece of cardboard for ideal food photography.Find a place to rest your elbows, light source at angle such that light skims the top of the food, glazing food with butter or olive oil to make it look good.

The lunch was very elaborate, Some of the dishes served were Asparagus and smoked turkey quiche (Asparagus and smoked turkey quiche – Wood smoked turkey and fresh Asparagus along with cheese stuffed into small egg pie quiches)

Sugarcane lamb squares (Grilled lamb rolled and pressed into sugarcane skewer)

Salmon sushi (Japanese rice and salmon mixture rolled up in a noori sheet along with fresh vegetables)

Chicken Sashlik (Chicken pieces are weaved on skewers and grilled on hot charcoal)

Japanese pickled radish sushi (Sour pickled radish mixed with rice and rolled up into Japanese sushi rolls)

Thai corn cake (Fried corn cakes served along with sweet and sour dipping sauce)

Fatayer (Arab meat pie pastries stuffed with spinach and cheese)

Creamy Mushroom and chives vol-au vent (Vol au vent cases topped with creamy seasoned mushrooms, sprinkled with a hint of chive leaves)

J W Marriott is a Landmark property in Pune, the minute you walk in you feel you have been transported to a luxurious heaven on earth…
Their signature Italian restaurant Alto Vino is a Premier dining place in Pune, spearheaded by their Chef Christian Huber who dishes out the most amazing Italian delicacies.
So when i received a call from Priya Sharma to try their Sizzling succulence festival where the Chef has created all the dishes  with Lamb , it was  a treat for us.
Having eaten at  Alto Vino a couple of times earlier and loving the signature dish Mutton Shanks so much that whenever the staff at Alto Vino come to know about our arrival , they sort of keep it ready.
Farzana and myself relished to the hilt this amazing Italian
festival along with Chef Christian Huber and savoured the well prepared Lamb dishes.
If you want to be treated like a King and Eat like one too , i suggest you head to Alto Vino at the earliest.
