We were invited to JW Marriott in Pune for a new Menu tasting in their signature restaurant Alto Vino.
Spearheaded by Chef Huber Christian, it’s a fine place to sample Italian finest gourmet in Pune.
We started with Beetroot Carpaccio with herbs, a freshly prepared salad.
Goat cheese croquettes with mushrooms was another winner , freshly made, infused with flavours and a delight to eat.
Pumpkin ravioli with Parmesan cheese was just about nice, guess it was too much of cheese.
Highlight of the evening is the signature dish, the lamb shanks, tender meat falling from the bone, melt in the mouth, a must have on your visit there.
Desserts like tiramisu and chocolate fondue ended the night on a very high note. Never disappoints.
A special thanks to Chef Huber and his team for his efforts.
Thanks to Hundred Percent and Priya Sharma.

JW MARRIOTT HAD THE “FARM TO TABLE” CONCEPT FOR ITS SUNDAY BRUNNER and we were invited.
A very interesting Concept which refers to the stages of production of food starting from harvesting to consumption. It is associated with sustainable and community supported agriculture and attempts to educate the customers about the link between farmers, farm communities and the food we eat. In the last few years, farm-to-table maneuver has grown rapidly all over the world.
Speaking about the initiative Chef Ajmal Salim, Executive Chef, JW Marriott Hotel Pune said, “This concept is internationally popular but a very new concept in India where our aim is to serve each guest the food, in its freshest form possible. The food served to the guests will be freshly produced from the farms, each day. The whole idea is to keep the dishes and the eating experience as close to nature as possible”.
